This is an example of one of the sketchbook pages lifted from a sketchbook for my upcoming published sketchbook. What a beautiful sentence that was. There will also be finished drawings and sketchbook vignettes.
Another for Spectrum Live in May.
On another note, if you are interested in picking up a 72 page sketchbook that I will be selling at Spectrum Live go ti my FB page and look at the details. The details were posted a day or two ago.
Like I said, I’ve been digging around in old files to find stuff. Kind of fun if I actually had the time. Anyway I found the poster I did for BCT here and then I couldn’t just leave the pillow alone, isolated on a blank piece of paper. So along came Pillowhead Rider. Brilliant ain’t I?
I’m posting this because I have a cold and sincerely believe that I hocked up a cthulhu in the sink this morning.
It’s quite an adventure going through so many sketches and drawings for this upcoming compilation book of fantasy artists’ sketches. I draw a lot.
Just my thoughts during a meeting today.
And I entered “Proscenium Hill” last minute in Spectrum 21 so I’m glad it got in for David and Natalia. Two friends who have a huge collection of my work.
Just posting “Snake Eyes” so the collector will know that this got into Spectrum 21. I;ll post a couple more tomorrow. I think Brian owns this?
I’m gathering images for a book highlighting artists’ sketches. It’s a follow up to Sketching from the Imagination a really cool book if you don’t have it. I think I will put in some color sketches like this one. They take about 30 minutes to an hour so I consider them sketches.
